If a mechanic is cognizant what adding glycol will do, they're probably better than someone who will just do it no questions asked. Even if they can't quantify the performance implications.
Perfect summary to the point I was trying to express. Knowing the potential outcome can be just as important if not more important than all the math behind proving the result.

Glad to read it. Always had questions about glycol ever since I helped my dad pour antifreeze down the toilet every fall before the cabin saw its first freeze in upstate NY.
